Richard Broder, CPM®, CEO

Richard B. Broder is CEO of BRODER & SACHSE Real Estate Services, Inc. He is responsible for all strategic and operational activities of the company. Since inception, BRODER & SACHSE has grown under Mr. Broder's direction from a start-up business to a full-service company, managing over 70 properties consisting of approximately 9 million square feet.

Mr. Broder is a 1983 graduate of the University of Michigan where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies. Upon graduation, he joined Farbman Stein and Company as a property manager and leasing agent. During his career at Farbman Stein, he was instrumental in building the company from a two-manager operation to a major management firm with over 100 employees and almost 100 properties under contract.

Prior to forming BRODER & SACHSE, Mr. Broder was executive vice president of Farbman Stein and responsible for its operations, including management of over 12.5 million square feet of commercial, retail, office and residential real estate. His clients during his 10 year tenure included CB Commercial Realty Advisors, Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, Comerica Bank, Michigan National Bank, Nationwide Life Insurance, New York Life, CIGNA Realty Investors, General Motors and many substantial individual investors. He continues to provide quality service to many of these clients.

Mr. Broder is involved in a variety of community and charitable organizations. He is the Immediate Past President of the Hebrew Free Loan Association of Metropolitan Detroit. He is currently President-Elect of the International Association of Hebrew Free Loans, and he recently served on the Board of Governors of the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit. Mr. Broder also served on the Board of Trustees of The American Red Cross Southeast Michigan Chapter. He is a member of Capital Needs Division of the United Jewish Foundation and the Properties Committee of the American Red Cross. He also served for several years as an officer and Campaign Chairman for the Young Adult Division of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. He was the first recipient of the Mark Family Young Leadership Award. He is also a founder and officer of the Real Estate Roundtable. He recently served as a Member of the Board of Commissioners of the Downtown Development Authority for the City of Southfield, Michigan. He holds an Associate Brokers license in the State of Michigan and is the broker of record for BRODER & SACHSE.

Mr. Broder is a Certified Property Manager (CPM)® of the Institute of Real Estate Management.

He resides in West Bloomfield, Michigan with his wife and two daughters.

Todd A. Sachse, Vice President

Todd A. Sachse is Vice President of Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, Inc. He is responsible for many areas of corporate planning and administration of the company. In addition, he directs all construction related projects within the company. Mr. Sachse is primarily responsible for the management of multifamily properties while assisting in all commercial property management.

As an owner of Sachse Construction & Development Corp., Mr. Sachse has developed a loyal clientele of customers who require a firm that is world class in caring for its clients, in a variety of building categories, such as high-end retail and restaurant projects, renovation of vintage buildings, medical office and general office build-outs, build-to-suits and development and construction of multifamily projects.

Mr. Sachse earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1985. Upon graduation, Sachse founded and operated several businesses related to property operations and maintenance. Mr. Sachse is a licensed builder in the State of Michigan. He resides in Huntington Woods, Michigan with his wife and three children and is involved in many charitable organizations, including the Jewish Community Center Board of Directors, JPM Committee, Jewish Community Center, Co-Chairman, House Committee, Real Estate and Property Management Committee of the Jewish Federation of Detroit (Liaison).

John Hamburger, JD, RPA, President

John A. Hamburger is President of BRODER & SACHSE Real Estate Services, Inc. In this role, Mr. Hamburger is responsible for the entire operation of the firm's real estate services business, including property management, oversight of the firm's financial management, and the firm's SOS Corporate Maintenance Departments. Mr. Hamburger is also part of the firm's Acquisition and Development Team, and the firm's Corporate Leadership Team, which sets and implements corporate strategic goals and objectives.

Mr. Hamburger has been with BRODER & SACHSE since 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hamburger was the President & CEO of Parliament Company, a development, property management and design build firm. He was Parliament's Executive Vice President from 1990-1997 and its General Counsel from 1988 to 1990. Before joining Parliament, John practiced law with Butzel, Keidan, Simon, Myers & Graham, P.C., where he had substantial experience in multi-million dollar interstate corporate and real estate loan reorganizations; lending, real estate and corporate law.

Mr. Hamburger received a law degree from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in Economics from the University of Michigan. He is a designated Real Property Administrator by the Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) International, and he is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Michigan. He is a past Chairman of the City of Detroit Planning and Development Department's Developers Taskforce. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Sinai Hospital of Metro Detroit's Development Foundation and the Michigan Cancer Foundation Partners. Mr. Hamburger also served on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Apartments and Services and was an Officer and Board Member of the Benefactors of the Jewish Home and Aging Services.

He and his family reside in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Lee A. Hurwitz, Vice President, Director of Acquisition and Development

Lee A. Hurwitz is Vice President and Director of Acquisition and Development for Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, Inc. He is responsible for the global and daily implementation of the company's investment strategy and goals. Lee oversees the operations of underwriting, due diligence, financing, syndication, entitlements, planning, leasing, and construction of new real estate acquisitions and developments. As part of the company's leadership team, Lee is also involved in setting and implementing corporate strategic goals and objective.

Lee is a 1994 graduate of the University of Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor of Political Science degree, with a concentration in International Business. He has been with Broder & Sachse since 1996, starting as an assistant Property Manager. Lee became a Property Manager in 1997, and Broder & Sachse's Director of Property Management in 2000. Lee was named to his current position in 2003. He is a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of Michigan.

Lee is involved in a variety of community and charitable organizations. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Vocation Services. In addition, he serves as a member of the Real Estate Division of the United Jewish Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit.

Mark Franchini, CPA, serves as controller for Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, Inc. He provides financial statement review and oversight of day to day accounting processes. In addition, he is well versed in systems and software administration. Mark is a graduate of Oakland University and holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree. Mark completed his public accounting requirements at Deloitte Touche, and was later an accounting manager at Milin Brody Company. Most recently, Mark was the accounting manager for Procap Management Services.

Glenn Pelot, CPM®, has been involved in real estate management since 1972. His portfolio has included high-rise apartments and other multi-family properties, single- family homes, office buildings and shopping centers. He graduated from Sacred Heart College, and has been an Associate Broker in the State of Michigan since 1978. He obtained the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation in 1977, served as the president of the local chapter in 1982, and was named Manager of the Year in 1983. Glenn has served on the national Ethics and Discipline Committee since 1996, and was Chairman of the Ethics Hearing and Discipline Board in 2004. He has been an instructor for the Institute of Real Estate Management since 1985, teaching courses to over 1,200 students in Southeastern Michigan alone. In 2003, Glenn became a member of IREM's International Faculty when he taught a series of courses in Seoul, South Korea. He and his wife, Christi, are currently serving as the leaders of the Detroit area Worldwide Marriage Encounter.

Larry Shaevsky, Regional Manager at Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, Inc., has been in property management since 1995, both on-site and in the corporate office. Larry's expertise is managing multi-family communities, both new construction and existing properties as well as apartment and homeowner associations. Larry has managed over 2,500 units valued at over $120 million. His portfolio has included Gateway of Grand Blanc, a 400 unit apartment community in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and Beacon Hill Apartments, a 624 unit apartment community in Auburn Hills, Michigan; and several other apartment communities in southeastern Michigan, some of which have been higher-end condominium associations in the suburban lakefront area of Detroit. Larry is currently on the board of the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association, Franklin Corners Homeowner's Association, Shaevsky Family Foundation and Hebrew Free Loan Association. Larry has a real estate license and successfully completed the Resident Apartment Management program at Lawrence Technological University. He received his BA from Western Michigan University.

Jerry Moyer, CPM CCIM, joined Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, Inc. as a property manager in August of 2005.  Prior to joining Broder & Sachse, Jerry has been in the property management field for 15 years, managing portfolios of over 1 million square feet and office buildings as large as 970,000 square feet.  His experience is mainly office and retail; recently, Jerry successfully managed two large multi-tenant historic office buildings in downtown Detroit.  Jerry has a BA in Marketing from Michigan State University, and an MBA from Wayne State University.  He has achieved the Certified Property Management and Certified Commercial Investment Member designations and holds a State of Michigan Real Estate Sales License.  Mr. Moyer is currently serving as the 2008 President of the local IREM chapter as serves as the Special Events Chair.

Laurie WoodLaurie Wood has been in the property/facility management business for 22 years, managing portfolios of over 1 million square feet. Laurie's experience is mainly commercial, office, and light industrial. She previously managed a property for Comerica that received the prestigious TOBY(Office Building of the Year) from BOMA Detroit. Laurie holds a State of MIchigan real estate broker's license, and is a member of BOMA Detroit.

Laurie WoodSarah Turton came to Broder & Sachse from the west side of the state of Michigan, where she managed a portfolio of residential communities, condominium associations and commercial properties. At Broder & Sachse, Sarah's portfolio includes condominium associations, upscale office buildings, and shopping centers. Sarah grew up in the real estate and property management business, joining her family real estate business at a young age. She is a graduate of Hope College and enjoys art, museums and art history. She and her family live in Huntington Woods, Michigan.

George Martin serves as the Director of Property Maintenance for Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, Inc. His responsibilities include overseeing all maintenance staff, fleet vehicles and maintenance materials purchasing. George has 25 years of experience and has held prior positions as a maintenance technician, journeymen plumber and estimator. He is experienced in the management of estimating for medical center construction, management of construction materials ordering and stocking of spare parts, Management of waste handling and disposal, management and was a manager of medical waste incinerator. He was also a team member of the Total Quality customer satisfaction team, team leader of diversity training and team leader for medical waste handling training for the University of Michigan Hospital (1.3 million SF teaching hospital / residential housing). He assisted other hospitals in training for "saving dollars through your waste stream" seminars.

Derek J. Slupka, AIA, is Staff Architect for Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services, Inc., and Sachse Construction and Development Corp. He oversees a full range of architectural services for various ongoing design and construction projects. Derek is a 1988 graduate of University of Detroit with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Derek is a Registered Architect in the State of Michigan. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Harry Cohn, Director of Leasing and Business Development

Harry L. Cohn is Director of Leasing and Business Development for Broder & Sachse. In this position, Mr. Cohn leads all of Broder & Sachse's brokerage services efforts, and he is also responsible for procuring new property management, receivership, and property maintenance business for Broder & Sachse. Harry also works with Sachse Construction, Broder & Sachse's sister company, in the procurement of construction work for that firm.

Harry has experience handling a myriad of real assignments for the past 15 years. Prior to joining Broder & Sachse, Mr. Cohn was Vice President and Director of the Retail Brokerage Division at Friedman Real Estate Group, in which capacity he completed over 200 commercial transactions totaling over $42 million in value. During his career, Mr. Cohn has represented several national retailers, including Kroger Supermarkets, Atlantic & Pacific (A & P) Tea Company/Farmer Jack, JC Penney's, Toys R Us and Sherwin Williams Company. He has also worked with some of the larger commercial landlords throughout the country, including Vornado Realty Trust, Centro Properties/New Plan Realty, Excel, Ramco Gershenson, and Taubman Companies.
